Leaf Jounin

Seiko yawned as he sat crosslegged atop the vertically facing log that was stuck several feet into the ground. As he stretched his arms, he signaled a bird flying above him. The bird spiraled down gracefully and landed on Seiko's arm. Seiko took out a small piece of paper from his vest with his left hand and an ink brush with his right. He dipped it in a hidden bottle of ink once, and then began writing on the paper. when he was finished, it read-

"Hey Ryuu, it's been really boring around here lately, wanna spar? meet me at the training ground today if you're interested. Bring your best!"

With that, Seiko rolled up the paper delicately and wrapped a tiny string around it. He tied it to the leg of the bird and whispered into it's hearing aparatus, saying "Ryuu". The bird flapped it's gentle wings and took off into the sky wonderously, flapping it's wings and eventually dissapearing in the glare of the sun's rays. Seiko smiled closed his eyes, his resolution to wait until Ryuu arrived before exerting himself. After all, this battle could be pretty hard. But oh it would be worth it.

Leaf Jounin

Ryuu yawned at looked out the window, rubbing his eyes and garing at the sun and it somehow managed to shine right through the window, covering the entirity of his bed. He groans and threw back the covers, annoyed that his day off and only chance to sleep in was ruined by nature. Sighing, he rolled out of bed, literally, and picked himself up off the floor, heading to the bathroom.

When he got back, Ryuu took notice of a bird sitting there pecking on the window. Judging from the size of the dent in the widnow, it must have been there as soon as he went in the bathroom. He wrapped the towel he was using to dry his dry around his neck and sat on the bed, taking the message from the bird.

Grinning as he read the message, Ryuu passed a small mouse bit to the bird and almost flew around his apartment, gathering his Jounin gear and supplies. This time he rememebred to grab his staff, having finally managed to incorporate it into his Taijutsu style. His claws were already on him, and he tucked his sai into his sash, grinning at the prospect of a worthy opponent for once. Missing nin just didnt cut it these days, as all the powerful ones stayed out of sight. It looked like they were finally learning.

Opening his window, Ryuu jumped out while forming hand seals, finishing them half way to the ground. A burst of wind surrounded him and he rose in the air quickly, speeding over roof tops and and speeding toward the training grounds, reveling in the feeling of the air moving around him.

Not paying attention to his surroundings, Ryuu almost over shott he training grounds. Almost was the keyword. At the last minute he pulled a U-Turn mid air and barely missed two giant pine trees. Unable to slow down, he cancelled the jutsu and began rolling across the ground, slowing down drastically before landing against a tree, upside down. Fixing himself and facing the tree with a large Jounin sized imprint in the bark, Ryuu rubbed the back of his head.

"Guess I need to work on the landings a bit more," he said, staring at the tree.

Leaf Jounin

Seikos mind was entirely blank, in a meditative state almost comatose, his instincts all that remained active. Suddenly, he heard noise, and his eyes flickered opened, his body suddenly alert and aware. All of his senses returned to his conscious self in just a short moment, and he was aware of the jounin hurtling past him at a great speed. Seiko initially wondered why the jounin was doing such, rolling on the ground like an idiot, but Seiko figured he prolly just forgot to slow down appropriately before attempting to land.

Seiko stretched vicariously, and then jumped from the log, doing a frontflip in the air before landing on his feet. He walked nonchalantly, hands in his pockets, towards Ryuu. The ground thumped beneath his feet. the sun shone on the spot where Ryuu now stood, outlining the indent he made in the tree.

Seiko smirked and spoke to ryuu in a sarcastic but friendly tone "You know, it's common practice to attempt to slow down before you hit the ground. You know, the whole law of inertia and such" Seiko cracked his knuckles.

"So are you ready for this, my friend?"

Leaf Jounin

RYuu just rolled his eyes and rolled backwards, spinning to his feet. He threw his arms in the air to stretch them out and sighed as he felt his back crack while doing so.

"Feh. What good is stopping if you cant start first. I just lost track of my position, thats all. And of course Im ready," Ryuu said, tapping his staff strapped to his back. "Lookie, I even got a new toy, just for you."

Sliding into a normal Jyuuken position, Ryuu left his Sai tucked into his sash, not needing them quite yet. This would be a warm up, nothing more then a semi spar to loosen the limbs and get the blood running. Once that was finished however... Ryuu's hand twitched in anticipation, his weapons seeming to dig into his body as he began the cycle chakra through his body, getting used to the feel of it again after a days worth of relaxation and sleeping.

"Lets tumble," Ryuu said, grinning at Seiko as he slowly tightened up his stance into a more defensive version of Jyuuken.

In the back of his mind howeverm Ryuu was contemplating how to be able to use this technique he had been developing. This spar might not be the best choice, but time would tell.

Leaf Jounin

Seiko grinned as ryuu spoke, and tapped a new weapon. Seiko was curious now, that would possibly be a fun new experience in battle. But then again, nine times out of ten, if you've fought one weapon, you've fought them all.

As ryuu took the common and easily recognizable jyuuken fighting stance, Seiko got in a fighting stance of his own. It was actually that of one of his weapon fighting stances, his Weapon Stance X. Though against a hyuuga, it wouldn't be too much of a match, but he could hold his own for a good while, especially since Ryuu was using a defensive stance. What was unique about this situation was that Seiko would be using jabs instead of a blade.

Seiko shot forward suddenly, giving nothing away, and having no rhythym. After all, this style relied partially on randomness. As Seiko neared Ryuu, he began dipping and diving, randomly jabbing at various parts of Ryuu's body, mostly those that would likely be vulnerable, or if blocked would leave Seiko to attack another part that was now open. Seiko took every opportunity he could find.

Leaf Jounin

The first hit took Ryuu by surprise, throwing his body back a little bit. Growling slightly at being taken unaware, and the fact that his version of the defensive Jyuuken got broken so easily, Ryuu took a step backward and pushed off slightly, landing a little ways away from Seiko. Standing on one foot and balancing, Ryuu rests the otherone against his shin, throwing his arms out to his sides and letting the hands drop. This was a semi new style to Ryuu, one he had never had the time to fully master, but the defensive capabilities were far better than his current Jyuuken style. Pulling his arms in close, so that his right arm was extended and his left was pulled close to the body and covering his chin.

Ryuu growled again slightly and activated the Byakugan fully, watching from every angle for the next attack. His entire body told him to move, but he stayed, waiting. The crane style was useless in an offensive move, its only real saving grace was the sheer defensive ability it granted when used. Being able to turn an attack against the user using the least amount of energy, conserving your stamina and taking theirs down slowly... that was a true fighting style worthy of mastering. Ryuu grinned slightly and activated his claws, picnhing his fingers slightly and moving his hands like a viper.

This was his custom style, Wasp. Combining Crane and Snake style, being able to strike precise points while turning attacks against the opponent. This was one of his greatest creations, as the precise strikes combined with turning the opponents attacks turned into a much, much more deadly attack. Double the power in a very small area was nothing to laugh at.

Flexing his hands, Ryuu waited again. This fight would not be determined by this yet.

Leaf Jounin

Seiko frowned as his opponent changed style. From what he could tell, it was some sort of Crane-Snake Hybrid. That information didn't help Seiko a whole lot, since it was taijutsu styles, and Seiko wasn't a taijutsuist....

Thats it! he thought. I'm not a taijutsuist, I don't need to fight like one!

Seiko broke off the spar suddenly, flipping backwards and landing on his feet. In the air, he pulled out two daggers, which he dulled with chakra. Instead of taking on his opponent with his hands, Seiko would use a dull weapon. As an extension of his body, Seiko had a much easier time using them, and was definetely on par with his opponent now. it would be pure skill that shifted the tide of this battle to one side or the other.

Seiko blanked his mind out, relying purely on his instinctual logic. It was a state of mind that was unique to him, it was a basic state, that relied on instincts, but these instincts went through the thoughtful part of his brain, logic being incorporated into the body's natural reaction. The result was a highly optimized fighter, who could react instantly to most any attacks, as long as the reaction was within the body's limit. The only real downside was that he had no true state of consciousness. If his opponent switched to ninjutsu or something that couldn't be countered physically, it would definetely catch Seiko off guard. And if Seiko tried to stop this state of mind himself, there would be at least a few seconds before he could stop it entirely (1 post).

Seiko's eyes went blank, and began a relentless attack on his opponent.

Leaf Jounin

Ryuu groaned internally as the weapons almost flew into Seiko's hands, and his eyes went blank. This was where things began to get tough.

His right hand fluttered to his shoulder, indecisive for a second. That second was a split second to long, as Ryuu needed to roll backwards out of the way of the first attack. His hands flew up in front of his body, using the claws to block the next two strikes. Wincing as he did so, despite the fact that the blades were dulled, Ryuu jumped back, his Sai flying into his hands as his claws deactivated.

Charging those with chakra, Ryuu narrowed his vision slightly, focusing on Seiko and entering his state of mind. There was noone but his opponent in front of him, and nothing to distract. The blurred image of the chakra system seared into Ryuu's mind, and he began to strike back with the Sai, blocking and striking when possible.

Ryuu took a few hits, the dulled knives still slicing through the cloth lightly and drawing blood. He didnt notice however, concentrating his mind and being on striking this man in front of him with the style engrained in his body.

In the back of his mind however, Ryuu waited for the one opening he could find, waiting to change this from a plain melee fight to a ranged one as well.

Leaf Jounin

Seiko subconsciously knew that this method wasn't working, they were more or less evenly matched, Seiko with weapons, Caranore with fists. Seiko jumped into the air, doing a backflip. He extended his arms back behind his back, and slammed them together again, making a large gust of wind that served two purposes. One, it catapulted himself away from Ryuu. Two, it would probably send ryuu flying a good distance.

Seiko returned to full consciousness as he landed on the ground, and began to formulate a plan. He did have a new jutsu he wanted to try out... Seiko grinned, and took a scroll from his jounin vest. A large Kanji Symbol for fire was scrawled across it. Seiko threw it up in the air, and began stringing together a long string of handseals in rapid succesion. The final was tiger, and the scroll landed between his fingers. The scroll began glowing a bright red, and Seiko grabbed it with his left hand. He flung it to his left, the scroll unravelling as it flew through the air. Seiko ran his finger along the now exposed scroll with fire chakra, and it began to glow brighter still. Seiko brought his hands together again in the tiger seal.

The Scroll, glowing a violent red swirled around him, attaching to his body. It became an armour, and a damn good one at that. Seiko smirked. This battle was getting better and better. The funnest thing about this was that against a hyuuga, this armour would be invaluable, as Taijutsu is completely useless against it. Seiko was now a bright glowing red figure, all parts of his body covered, except for two slits where his eyes are, and even they are covered by a clear, unmeltable film. This battle got better.

Seiko held out his hands, and the two swords sealed in the scroll shot out into his hands. These swords were unmeltable, and therefor could be used with the armour. Seiko held one at his side loosely, the other pointed at his opponent.

"Come Ryuu! Let us Continue!" Seiko said through the scroll, his voice no doubt distorted by the heat. Such a spectacle to see Seiko like this. He would appear to be nothing but a glowing red figure. Oh how Seiko envied Ryuu

Leaf Jounin

Watching the fire encompass Seiko's body, Ryuu groaned and began forming handseals. A jet of wind later and Ryuu leaped up into the air, using Seiko's own technique against him. He sighed as the slight dip in his chakra was felt, and he took a second in the air to judge his own capacity. They hadnt used too much chakra, and as Ryuu's chakra just flowed through the sai, none was wasted there.

He nodded after another second and formed another handseal. 95% chakra left. Plenty enough to use this technique and a couple others. Pumping a decent amount of chakra out, Ryuu watched as 5 clones of himself formed, all flying next to him. They already knew the drill, so they began their attack upon the fiery figure on the ground while Ryuu began concentrating on this jutsu. It was a new one, so it would definetely be a drain on his chakra.

As he concentrated, a glowing green and blue orb began to form in his hand, trembling with power. Focusing more, trusting in his kage bunshin to portect him if need be, Ryuu watched the orb form, and the maelstrom inside and grinned. Step one complete.

3 of the Kage bunshin flew downwards toward Seiko, each of forming hand seals. As the first clone flew over Seiko's head, he let out a large breath, causing a black mist to be spat from it. The smell of oil premated the air, and as the clone poofed in disappreance, allowing the other clones to get a good view of the battle field before finishing their hand seals.

The entire area of the black mist was about 25 meters, a very large circular distance. As the two clones breathed outwards, the wind they formed took on a greenish tint, and slowly formed raptors, encompassing the black mist. Twenty four raptors, black with a bright green tint flew in a circle around Seiko, the mist itself gone now. The raptors had expanded from their original size, each one carrying a large amount of the flammable mist.

And then one struck. Pulling out of the circle, it dropped into a dive toward Seiko, and flew straight at the fire armor, much like a Kamikaze pilot in the world wars. The other raptors soon followed, circling then dropping at random times towards Seiko.

The two Kage bunshin who hadnt done anything yet turned to stare at Ryuu, the original, as his face broke out in a light sheen of sweat, the orb in his hand still growing larger.

Leaf Jounin

Seiko smiled at his opponent as the oily mist spread towards him. Although the thoughtful thing might have been to avoid it, Seiko had another plan in mind. Since the mist wasn't actually explosive, just flammable, this wouldn't be difficult for Seiko. As soon as the mist spread, he ran forward, forming a flaming handseal. 4 Kage Bunshin appeared by his side, each of them as brilliant and flaming as Seiko himself. They all ran forward and as they hit the mist they jumped into the air. The mist ignited, resulting in an explosion of fire, but not an explosion. There was minimal pressure behind it, although the resulting flames were quite large. Seiko and his clones all flew in the air towards Ryuu.

As they could not use the flying technique in this state, they had to use other means to continue their ascent. Each of the clones pointed their palms down, and released a large ball of fire out of each. This served a double purpose. it would destroy any pursuing attackers from below, and it also shot them up into the air like rockets, homing on Ryuu like red missiles. But Seiko wasn't done their, this battle was about to change, and fast. Seiko and his clones released 1 more fireball each, shooting far up into the air at even greater speeds. And they shot right past ryuu.

Seiko smirked and released the armour, simultaneously turning invisible and letting a gust of fire go. The result would appear to be a fire clone, which seiko was known for, exploding, perhaps because of one of the Raptors' attacks. But in fact, it allowed Seiko to dissapear. He fell towards the earth, and activated the flying jutsu, standing in the air, unmoving. Mean while, his clones, all 4 of them, shot down at Ryuu and Ryuu's two clones, ready to engage in a vicious attack against the three. The clones would release fireballs as they attacked, and powerful ones too, easily equal to the Great fireball technique.

Leaf Jounin

Watching the clones fly past him, Ryuu swore loudly and threw the chakra orb down towards the ground as hard as he could. Taking his attention off that, he flipped around and started flipping through hand seals, panting slightly. That technique combination cost him almost 50% of his currect chakra capacity, and he definetely felt drained after dropping so much chakra into a single attack. He would need to revamp that later so it didnt take as much.

Taking a deep breath, and noticing that his clones were on the some thought process as he was, Ryuu exhaled quickly, and pumped out his chakra. Another 10% gone, but it beat getting burned and attacked in mid-air, especially when he was trying to get used to the immense chakra drainage.

"Kazeryuu no jutsu!" Ryuu and his clones shouted at the same time, 3 votexes of wind forming next to them. From those portals, 3 enormous swirling figures emerged, each one roaring with brilliantly red eyes as it took in the surroundings. Flying towards the clones, the dragons easily encompassing the fire and adding that to their attack. Blowing past the clones, Ryuu watched as the wind from the dragons threw them off course, which was the entire point. With the three dragons circling them, unless the clones could get off an A_Ranked fire technique being jostled like that, they would stay out of the picture.

An change in pressure, and a cracking sound from behind Ryuu caused him to turn around, and his eyes to open as he watched the orb come drastically close to the ground.

Leaf Jounin

Seiko's eyes grew wide as the orb hit the ground... This was no longer a spar.. Seiko and Ryuu had both taken it too far, and needed to stop now. Seiko's gaze did not fall from the orb's point of landing as the wind began to blast around him... And a giant tornado formed right before his eyes. The wind gusted violently, and Seiko thought fast. He dropped the invisibility technique almost instantly. It would take all the chakra he had, just to stop this technique from destroying konoha. Luckily, Seiko knew how to do this, as taxing as it would be.

Storm clouds had appeared, although when, he did not know. It was probably caused by the huge amount of pressure in the air that the tornado caused. Seiko flew upwards, spiraling with the winds of the tornado until he finally reached the very top. He flew into the tornado, and was in the very eye of it. He let himself drop to the ground, finding himself in the center of the tornado.

But just then, everything got much worse. The clones flew right into the tornado and it caught fire almost immediately. The burning inferno around Seiko was certainly disconcerting, but he did not lose sight of his goal. Seiko closed his eyes and made the bird handseal, significant of the huge amount of wind chakra he was about to unleash. Seiko was so filled with wind chakra that his eyes opened and were glowing white from it.

Seiko began to concentrate, pulling all of the wind around him inwards. The noises that were made were frightening at the very least. The tornado's width slowly shrunk, and began closing in on Seiko. The wind whipped and tore at him, destroying his uniform, more or less. Only his carbon microfiber under clothing survived. He pulled the tornado in even closer, it's massive winds threatening to rip him apart. But he pressed on. It cut at his face, and began tearing through even his Microfiber suit. He scowled and raised his head upwards. He let out an ear shattering yell, and the tornado reached the smallest it would. Though his suit offered some protection, Seiko began to get burned.

Luckily, he was almost finished. He began to raise his hands, slowly, and the tornado lifted off of the ground with a crack of shattering pressure. Seiko's hands were at about his chest when he suddenly flung them fully up into the air. The tornado compressed even more and shot up into the atmosphere like a flaming arrow. It broke the sound barrier with a resounding Crack, and it began to rain from the fierce amount of pressure being released so suddenly.

Seiko collapsed to the ground on one knee, one hand on the ground, the other on top of his knee. He was breathing hard, but he was alive, and stopped konoha's destruction. Jeez, that really would've made it difficult for the akatsuki...

Leaf Jounin

Ryuu pulled himself out from under the tree branches and trees themselves, the smoke of his clones disappearing. He had had to think fast so that the flying tree's didnt impale him, and the best way to do that was to cancel his flying jutsu and create enough clones to encircle him while he fell to the ground.

Crawling out of the little tunnel that managed to be made when the trees landed, Ryuu looked around the destroyed training grounds, and pulled his foot out of nearly a foot of mud, as the rain poured down. Grimancing as his ankle rolled beneath him, causing a limp, Ryuu made his way over to Sieko and pulled the Jounin up off the muddy ground.

"I think thats the quits for the day. If youre out of as much chakra as I am, and Im a Hyuuga for christs sake, then we should stop here." Ryuu looked over Seiko;s state of injuries and dress.

"Plus we should get both of us to the Hospital for a checkover. Im pretty sure that the fall I just took cracked a few ribs despite my clones, and a rolled ankle. You just look like hell my friend."

Forming a hand seal, and watching as another clone poffed into existance, Ryuu and the clone began handseals before unsteadily lifting off the ground, Seiko between them, and slowly flying toward the Hospital as the wind pushed them towarnds that direction.

Leaf Jounin

Seiko had collapsed fully to the ground into unconciousness as Ryuu spoke. Seiko drifted out of consciousness to the words "You just look like hell". From their, he was under Ryuu's safe lookover, where he would no doubt go to the Konoha hospital.

As he traveled he had strange dreams.. premonitions almost.. In it he was wearing different clothing.. he liked this new get up....
