Match Four: Toran Kageshin vs Hayate Mitarashi (P)

Finish the match as soon as possible. If somebody is inactive too long they will be ruled out of the match.

Toran received news that he was in the tournament, he was excited but at the same time he was quite worried. His first opponent was called Hayate Mitarashi, Toran roughly knew this guy and knew that he would be a good match. Toran got ready and headed for the stadium.

When he arrived, he was told to just go out in the stadium and await his opponent. Toran went out and noticed that there was a lot of people watching. "This is my first real fight and I don't plan on losing easily, but then again why would I plan on losing easily, that would be silly!" He laughed to himself. Toran went and sat down by a tree and started reading while waiting for his opponent to appear.

Hayate had obtained his summons for the tournament today, He was to fight a Genin by the name of Toran Kageshin. He had heard rumors of this Genin's skill in genjutsu, If he was to counter it he was most likely going to have to fight blinded. Or at least one of them would need to be blinded, how would he do it he thought. He could simply close his eyes and try fight blinded that way. He might be able to distract Toran, or if worst came to worst he would just remove the Genjutsu issue all together and gouge his eyes out with a kunei. He wasn't too concerned about the issue right now, he would deal with it when the time came. Hayate arrived at the arena, not to much to his surprise his opponent was already there. He seemed to be reading a book in a shaded area. "How the hell can he read a book right now, does he think to win so easily." This angered Hayate, he tried to keep his cool but found himself getting more aggravated every time he looked at him... He would go all out in this match, regardless of who his opponent was. He pulled a kunai from his pack and gripped it tightly in the palm of his right hand. He was ready for this tournament to start.

Toran saw that his opponent had appeared and was clutching a kunai and looked slightly annoyed. The match was announced to be started. Toran put his book away and thought to himself, "Looks like he wants to start this right away, okay take this!" Toran made the hand signs and performed his Juusha no jutsu or servant technique. The Copies started appearing around Hayate and he eventually had about 20 of them. He figured that that should occupy Hayate while he backs off and watches how he fights. He had a rough plan, he did not want to decide on anything too solid yet because the fight had only just begun.

Hayate watched as the images of his opponent formed all around him, he wondered if they would attack or if they would even damage him... He assessed the moment for a second and decided that this was just a mind game, his opponent was a genjutsu user. They specialized in these sort of things. Hayate knew how to counter this, he would activate his Kekkei Genkai, Poison Mist. He made the hand signs and what followed was a poisonous cloud that began to cover the immediate area around him. The area it covered was around 20 meters in diameter. If his opponent entered the mist Hayate would have him, it would limit Toran's vision to a minimal and it would also sap his chakra. He readied his Kunei and waited to see how then clones would react to this.

Kekei Genkai: Poison Mist, Hayate forms a mist using water ninjutsu, and releases poisons from his body into this mist. The mist drains the victim’s chakra until it is all but gone. This mist however can be easily removed with any kind of wind technique.

It was lucky that Toran had backed off when he did or else he would of been caught in the poison mist that was coming from Hayate. Toran released his servant jutsu, he knew that Hayate was not falling for it. Toran realized that his genjutsu was useless to him at the moment and decided to try something else. He knew the poison mist had traces of moisture and he figured he would make some water clones out of it and get rid of some of the mist at the same time. He made the hand signs and as planned made 2 clones and made the mist smaller. He drew his stick and, along with his water clones, he ran towards the poison mist and Hayate to take him on in close combat. He knew that Hayate would not of thought that a genjutsu user would come so close. The mist was immediately bothering him and he coughed a lot and he felt his chakra being sapped. Toran believed that he saw Hayate and went for a strike to his ribs with his clones attacking from the other side. If this went wrong the clones would hit Toran but he was willing to accept the risks.

Description- Similar to the clone technique except the clones are made of water which allows them to attack a little and they can take more of a beating before they disperse.

The Illusions had disappeared around him, Hayate's suspicions had been confirmed. It was in fact a Genjutsu. Hayate seen Toran charging at him after the Illusions vanished and Immediately began to run backwards whilst still keeping an eye on him. He noticed two clones coming from the side of him also. He pulled out another kunai from his pack and placed it in his left hand whilst running backwards. He threw the two kunai at the Water Clones, and as the two kunai he threw headed towards the clones began to make hand signals, "Poison Bullet" he muttered as he shot the water from his mouth, it was aimed at Toran and it was accelerating fast; Hayate did not matter if this jutsu missed, it was just to stall time. After shooting off the Poison Bullet he kept on running backwards in his mist untill he hit the edge, always sure to keep an eye on his opponent. He would keep Toran busy until his Poison Mist had his chakra all but drained... Then he would strike.

Torans 2 clones were taken out by kunai and before he had time to move he was struck by some water in the face. The water knocked him back and he used the momentum to roll out of the mist but there was a new problem, He could not see, he stood in a defensive position until he could see again. When he could see again he could not see Hayate anywhere but had an idea that he was behind the mist at the wall or somewhere close enough. He decided he would go to the opposite side of the stadium and make Hayate come to him. He dashed behind a tree at the opposite end of the stadium than where he thought Hayate was and he sat down and rested. The water that had hit him had made him bleed in his left eye and blood was coming down his cheek. "I have to do something soon or else i'm done for." Thought Toran. He tore one off his sleeves off and wrapped it round his left eye. Now he had the bleeding under some control he waited for Hayate to make the next move. He knew his chances of winning were falling.

Hayate had noticed a successful strike upon Toran eyes; he took the opportunity to create a two water clones. He had a 5 second window of time before Toran would regain his sight again so he would have to make this count. Hayate made the hand signs to create his water clones. The two water clones each drew two shurikens into their hands; they had the shurikens clenched between their fingers ready to throw them. Hayate reached into his pack and pulled out two exploding tags and a kunei, he wrapped both of them around the kunei.

He was going to make a large explosion and hopefully finish the fight. While Hayate was doing all of this, he noticed Toren begin to retreat. He watched him closely as he fled to take cover behind a tree on the far side of the arena. Hayate had formulated a strategy now. The two clones would fan to the left and right of Toran and then Hayate would follow and remain on the opposite side of the tree. Once the clones flanked Toren and pinned him down on the next to the tree, he would launch his kunei with the explosive tags on it; this would cause the tree to come down on Toren in a fiery blaze of victory.

He readied himself and his clones, they all charged into position and when Hayate noticed Toren doing something behind the tree he launched the attack. The clones both fired there shurikens at Toren from the east and west in an attempt to pin him down to the tree. When the clones threw their shurikens, Hayate proceeded to launch his potential finishing move at the tree. All Hayate seen was the explosion of the tree and waited to see if his plan had bore fruit.

Toran had seen the clones approaching and their shuriken getting closer. He ducked and the shuriken had just hit the tree above him but they had caught his hair. He pulled as hard as he could and ripped some hair out. He ran and fell against the wall when suddenly the tree exploded. He mangaged to avoid and knock away, with his stick, as much debris as possible but he noticed he had been stabbed in his left collarbone. Pain filled his entire upper left area, he threw up a little. He managed to pull himself up to his feet. There was too much dust around to see but he knew Hayate would not be able to see him either, he believed that Hayate would of thought that he was defeated in the explosion. He decided that now was his only chance of getting close to Hayate to perform some genjutsu. Toran ran as fast as he could out of the dust cloud and saw Hayate and knew this was his chance. He made the hand signs, as difficult as it was with a stabbed collarbone, and performed Demonic illusion jutsu. If this worked Hayate would be open for attack and Toran would strike him with his stick and win.

Description- The user makes the hand sign and the victim is surrounded by swirling leaves. Once the leaves dissapear everything will appear normal until a horrifying image appears before them which normally leaves the person open to attack or is useful for escape.

Hayates water clones where still alive and functional after the blast, they where gazing intuitively into the fog, searching for the charred remnants of the opponent they had just caused to explode. The peered into the debris field hoping to be rewarded with the truly awesome sight of a bloodied and broken corpse. The chunks of timber and dust continued to pour down from the sky and pool into a thick foggy haze, the clones approached the situation with a mild amount of caution. It was highly unlikely that anyone survived that. Hayate also gazed onwards at the haze in front of him, whilst still having his own mist at his back. His Poison Mist had dissipated just slightly, still a bit hard to see through but it was definitely lifting now, he had around 10 more minutes of the Poison left. Hayate continued to observe this event from a far, whilst his clones moved in closer. “Let them take the risk” he thought to himself. He would remain passive-aggressive for now and wait for the debris to lift. The clones began to proceed forward; they see a figure running out from the dusty mist. It was Toren and he was making hand symbols, they wondered how he could still perform a jutsu with a stab wound in his shoulder and only one eye. “Did Genjutsu even work with one eye”, the thought, Hayate was also looking forward at the time when Toren came charging out. Hayate began to leap backwards into his mist. It seemed as Toren had noticed the clones that where now behind him after he charged out of the haze. He performed a careless move and they would make him suffer for it. As he sprinted forward they threw four more shuriken at his back. The clones didn’t see how he could dodge them, as he was badly injured and was unaware of their presence. As they launched their shurikens at the careless Genin, Hayate begin making hand symbols, water from the poisonous mist water began to form on his hands and he launched his Will of the Serpent Jutsu, except this one had a twist to it, it was poisonous from the mist that he used as water. If this attack would hit Toren the fight was his, Toren had already obtained an eye wound, a punctured shoulder and on top of all that his chakra had still been drained from earlier when he first entered Hayates Poison Mist. He had him, there would be no escaping now, what would he do with four shuriken at the left and right sides of his back and Hayates Jutsu infront of him

Description: Shoots out water projectiles from the users hands, they take the forms of snakes in mid flight. When the target is hit by these, he/she takes moderate damage. It can be drain chakra fast, if used in rapid succession.

Toran was still running when he noticed that Hayate had jumped back into his fog. Toran was annoyed by this and stopped for a moment then he felt sharp searing pain in his back. He had forgot about the clones and now had paid the price for his foolishness. He noticed something flying towards him but he could not see it properly, his vision was too blurred and pain was rushing through his mind. Toran fell to his knees, the pain was too much to handle anymore. " Thank you for a good fight and well done on your victory!" Toran managed to shout out before being hit by the jutsu. He fell on his face, as he faded into unconciousness he thought to himself " This was a mistake I will certainly learn from, please let me survive." Toran fell unconcious.

Hayate slowly walked out of the mist, he gazed at his opponents beaten body laying on the ground. He didn't know if he was going to live, "He gave me a good fight I at least owe him this much" Hayate walked over to the body, he removed the shurikens from Toren's back, Hayate then flipped Toren slowly making sure not to worsen the injuries he sustained. "You're lucky you are passed out right now, cause this is gonna hurt like hell." Hayate moved his hands towards the large chunk of wooden debris caught in Torens shoulder. "1..2...3..." He ripped the debris from Torens shoulder and began to use his Healing Hands jutsu, he focused hard on closing the wound, it was the least he could do... He continued on tending to Toren's more serious shoulder wound until the medical nin arrived with a stretcher and carried him off. The crowd was cheering and Hayate had felt quite pleased with himself... He gave them a show, and they liked it. He looked as Toren was being carted off and he smiled "Thank you Toren"
