Out to Sea! (Travis) Empty
PostSubject: Out to Sea! (Travis)   Out to Sea! (Travis) EmptyTue Dec 08, 2009 9:50 am

The breeze swayed to and fro sending the man’s hair drifting across his face and back smooth and calmly, the sea was such a beautiful place and yet could be the world’s worst tomb. It was a force to behold and never to be tempted for in one second it could crush an entire village or swallow an entire ship whole. The man walked smoothly across the dirt trail the vast sea opening its beauty to him and his partner. As they neared the docks they wind would only pick up more and more and send his black coat fluttering behind him more and more rapidly. The man had a blank look on his face, unchanged and void of emotion as a stream of cherry blossoms crossed his face and faded off into the trees on either side of them. It would be strange, to leave at such a beautiful time of year and arrive in a land completely covered in snow and ice. However their mission had been given and they were now obligated to complete it by any means. He could only hope his partner would trust his own judgment on how exactly their plan would pan out, this however was not the time or place to do such a thing.

Dameon moved the cross dangling from around his neck and placed it under his shirt so it would stop moving violently. He lit a cigarette having to struggle a few times from the wind but had somehow managed that’s to the cover of his hand. They would have to act normal as soon as they reached the docks. They had to complete their mission as quickly and quietly as possible and already his brain was running over every factor that might come into play on such a mission. Indeed it had sounded difficult at first but the more he ran over his strategy in his head the more and more it seemed like it would work and just as easy as he would hope for.

Dameon looked back at his partner confirming he was indeed an Uchiha as he had heard in his research of the current Akatsuki members. What he wound interesting however was that through talking with the man he learned that he did not possess a specialty with genjutsu like most Uchiha did and instead as he had though earlier at the meeting that he was indeed a kenjutsu specialist, just like himself. His focus was unwavering as he looked back behind him, not trulely looking at the man as much as he was sensing the pulse of his heartbeat trying to discover if the man was as cool and collected as it seemed. He didn’t have any use for a partner that would stupidly rush into a battle without first going over all the possibilities within the fight.

The ship was ahead of them now a vast man made marvel made of steel and ran on steam much to his delight. The last thing he wanted to do was report to his boss that they were late because the ship couldn’t find good wind to set sail. Than another questioned raised in his head as he looked again back at his partner and took the cigarette from his mouth so he could speak.

“Say Travis, have you ever been on a ship out at sea before?” he asked trying to hold back his strong Irish accent so the man could better understand him. He knew his accent was out of place within the world of shinobi but it was a hard thing to lose from your brain. He hoped he had said clearly what he said and only hoped his partner fully understood the question.

Out to Sea! (Travis) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Out to Sea! (Travis)   Out to Sea! (Travis) EmptyTue Dec 08, 2009 10:13 am

The sun poked through the clouds, a joyful sight to see after being in the downdraft and damp Amegakure. Changing from a bleak gray sky, to a lit one was a spirit lifter. A light breeze blew through the air, a few seagulls were gawking higher up. Lying down on his back on the main deck, Travis took off his shirt and swords with them lying neatly in a pile next to him. The breeze shuffled the kid's hair slightly as he stared at the insides of his eyelids. Dark. Dark. Dark. The only thing running through the supposedly skilled tactitican's head. The beating sun warmed his face with the slight breeze cooling it. It was blissfully sweet. Breathing in deeply, his chest rose and stayed there for several moments before exhaling slowly watching his chest sink. It kept up a constant pace as he rocked back and forth, up and down, it was literally rocking him to bed. The sea was a marvolous place, and grand palace indeed, but it was also a graveyard.

The sea from his perspective, was a masterpiece, displaying the beauty it could possess, but at the same time was a sailor's death awaiting to grab its next victim from the surface. Grinning at the thoughts, Travis mused with the idea of a sea monster roaring up to pulverize a ship and drag it under and drowning all of its victims. Releasing a yawn, it was the first thing to really brake the silence between the two. Sliding up on his elbows, he opened his eyes and looked at Dameon, who he caught just briefly observing Travis. 'What a smart cookie this one is.' Rolling his neck around his head, it popped it several times releasing several gas pockets. Letting a sigh escape his lips, it released a lot of tension in his neck. “Say Travis, have you ever been on a ship out at sea before?” The voice made Travis tense for a moment, he really hadn't heard Dameon speak much so the accent was a bit of a shocker for him. Rubbing his chin, he recollected himself and sat Indian style. "Well, I've been around boats when I left my village, but rarely travelled on them, but at the same time I've been at the sea, training on the top of the surface. But beyond that, nope. This is a quite an experience, it is exciting."

Now looking up to Dameon, Travis posed his own question, "Now, I have a question for you, how did you figure out I'm Uchiha? The only person who knew was Vice, and you just joined our ranks with no one else knowing. I'm curious. Your an observant fellow there."

“Well I knew the moment I saw you actually. A number of factors contributed to my conclusion. First off your from the land of fire and that is easy to find out by simply picking up a bingo book. There are nly a few missing ninja that are wanted by konoha that are Uchiha. Lastly my glasses can pick up on body heat, where it wouldn’t be too significant in most cases yours is different. Being of the fire element your body is naturally a bit warmer than most and around your eyes is where the most heat is other than your heart. Blood from your clan the Uchiha have a doujutsu kekkai genkai meaning they use their bloodline jutsu for their eyes meaning your blood would naturally travel to your eyes more depending on the level of your kekkai genkai and as such there are only two doujutsus from Leaf, the Hyuuga and the Uchiha and there are no missing Hyuuga. Other than that I confirmed this by looking in the bingo book where it lists you as an Uchiha.” He stated with a slight grin and tossed a copy of the bingo book back at his partner for Travis to look.

“Were going to need to burn that so nobody can know you’re in there. My entry doesn’t have a picture…yet.” He stated as they reached the ship. He walked calmly up the ramp to the ship with Travis behind him and showed the worker of the ship his ticket as well as Travis’s and went aboard. He left the entrance to the ship and made his way to one of the rooms that was a living quarters for VIP guests of the ship. The money to pay for such a thing wasn’t easy to come by but some dead evil men had no use for their cash anymore so he had felt obliged to take it. He laid on the bed and closed his eyes so he could get some sleep before they arrived, after all it would take a while.

"Ah, sharp on details aren't we?" Travis gave a chuckling grin. Sitting on the rocking boat, Travis looked over the side of the boat, watching fish surface and give the occasional leap. Yawning slightly Travis caught the Bingo Book loosely in his hand. Flipping through the pages, some had a lot of detail while others had little. Flipping slowly he examined each page, barely looking at it, but in truth Travis caught everything of it, even without the Sharingan, Travis had amazing reading skills enabling him to save chakra and obtain the data he needed. Opening to his page, there were a few notes on himself and it made him grin slightly. "Ah, few things on me except I'm a S Rank Criminal, Uchiha, and was from Konoha. Kinda weak, but from your sharp eye, I bet you've figured out my skills and elements no doubt?"

FLicking the book towards Dame, Travis spun around on the ground and flipped up. Picking up his shirt, he threw his raggy gray t-shirt and then latched on his two swords. Getting up he followed Dame through the upper deck and watched Dame hand him a ticket and followed briskly looking everywhere for where traitors or murderers could lurk, so far few and no one could hide there except for a small child. Following Dame into the room, he launched himself on the bed and kicked back and relaxed waiting for Dame to speak and discuss their plans.

“Well you’re obviously a fire element and if I had to guess I’d say your secondary element would be wind based off the fact that your sword uses both fire and wind. I only know about your sword because of the legends of it.” He stated as he rested his head on the pillow back further and with a yawn he spoke again.

“It’s going to take en entire day to get there, mind as well rest now. As for the plan goes, if you just let me take care of everything and follow along we will do quite nicely.” He stated and yawned again and fell almost instantly into an unconscious like sleep. He wasn’t as defenseless as it seemed though as even in his sleep he could tell where everything was on a spiritual level, even if they were approaching the land of snow or not.

Twenty Two Hours Later:

Dameon woke up from his long nap, most people were incapable of napping over a period of even five hours yet Dameon didn’t just nap when he closed his eyes. He meditates simultaneously to sync himself in with the life energy in the world and when in a deep enough meditation he can pinpoint just about anything he wanted, the closer the better though and as he opened his eyes he already knew what had to be done in the land of snow. He kicked his feet off the side of the bed and moved to the restroom to take a much needed break.

The large ship would pull into the harbor on snow and from here they would leave and begin their walk straight to the mansion of the Feudal Lord. Most would seem this as reckless but in this case it was the exact opposite. They were no longer here to fulfill their mission so much as they were here to get close to the higher ups of the country. They after all had been told to be discreet and as such they needed to forget the goal of the mission for a little bit anyways or at least play the part.

Dameon headed for the door so that they could leave the ship and set forth on the mainland and get to the mansion as quickly as possible. After all by his books they were two hours behind schedule because of not wanting to hit an iceberg with the large ship, who would have thought a chunk of ice could even do such damage?

Closing his eyes, Travis fell into a deep slumber thinking of absolutely nothing. Snoring slighly, Travis was sprawled across the bed, arms hanging over the edge, he was out cold and could have been killed with a kunai, but one unique thing was Travis was woken up by the slightly of noises that seemed dangerous to him, otherwise he slept like a log. Rocking up and down, he bounced with the boat as he slept humbly. Waking up a couple hours later, he rubbed his eyes slightly, clearing them of crustiness. Getting up, the air was much colder and Travis could see his own breath. Blowing out a ring he grinned a bit, it was entertaining, but he hated the cold, it put out his fire. But he didn't let it hold him back. Getting up and strapping on his swords, he went up deck to see the commotion, it was quite and serene, like he enjoyed. Breathing in sync with the waves, Travis's mental mind stayed put while his spiritual thoughts ran free exploring the new area, it was just a way for Travis to understand the area better.

A half hour later or so, they parked in the harbor and Travis got off the boat and awaited for Dame, waiting ever so patiently for him to board off. Suddenly Dame took off at a brisk pace towards the Feudal Lord's home. Travis had no clue what his plan was, but Travis trusted Dameon enough to follow and listen to his instructions and to what his plan was. The air was bitter and cold as they trudged across the land. Spotting a cloak stand, he Shunshin'd there and back in the nick of a second, donning a new black cloak to one, hide his swords, and two, keep his freezing ass warm. With each breath he took, Travis amused himself by creating odd shapes in the air with his breath fog he created. But it soon got boring and he just followed Dame and enjoyed the silence.
