Breakfast Addiction [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Breakfast Addiction [Open]   Breakfast Addiction [Open] EmptyTue Oct 27, 2009 5:32 am

It was a solid and beautiful morning in the streets of Konoha as of current timing. The birds were flying around in formations, the squirrels were trying to find some good breakfast for their families and the villagers were fumbling about, doing their own business, the owners were opening their shops and the workers were hurrying over to their respected shops. Also, children, Konoha Academy students and Konoha civilians alike, were also running around and creating formations, though this time it was way less organized and their was no rush in their running, just pure energy. The winds breeze was tenderly nice, carrying the leaves of the Leaf Village around in there light turbulence to form some sort of Dancing Leaf Shadow.

Shadow was currently roaming these streets of Konoha with a very small, barely noticeable smile on his face. While he was walking, he was quietly examining the buildings and food shops around the area, mostly food shops though for the reason he was even roaming the streets as of now was for the simple fact that he wanted some breakfast because of his loudly growling stomach that was slowly eating him alive from the inside out. Shadow held onto his stomach with his left hand while keeping the right one in his right pants pocket. For some unknown reason, Shadow decided to go the whole night without eating and he woke up to see no type of food in his wallet, but he had another method for getting some food.

Once he kept walking and walking for a few more minutes, Shadow decided to stop at the nearby Dango shop tp maybe get himself a sweet dumpling or two. Once he was in the shop, Shadow noticed that this was a place crowded with people. Slightly disgusted by this, he was about to leave when his stomach growled again, threatening to melt his stomach with acids if he didn’t offer him any sacrifices. Shadow sighed as he turned around and walked towards the counter and rang the bell. A few seconds later, a worker asked what he wanted and Shadow told him of his order. Once he was asked for money, Shadow took out the wallet from his right pocket and opened it, revealing Hayaku’s ID and took out the money that was in there to pay the man once they were ready, Shadow was given a huge box of 40-50 Dango in it. Knowing that he had an addiction to Dango, Shadow quickly dug in and ate, every time he finished one he through the red stick in order to continue his art in progress.

A light breeze blew through the streets on Konoha. People went about their morning business, adults going to their jobs and the children running off to the Academy to learn to be Ninja. Birds chirped all around, from the trees, from the air and even from the roof tops. Squirrels skittered across the branches of trees, making their way to their nests and going out to forage for food. Everything was peaceful in the Village of Konoha, nothing could disturb this perfect serenity.

The breeze whipped past a boy who sat on his heels at the edge of a roof, looking down on the village. His blonde hair swayed in the breeze and his blue eyes twinkled in the sunlight. There was something about this morning that made him energetic and happy. He couldn't quite place his finger on it but he liked the feeling. It had been days since he had gone out into the village and it seemed as if he had picked the perfect day. A grin glanced across his lips for a split second and then he jumped off the roof, landing in the street below.

People bumped against him as he walked slowly around. There wasn't a care in his mind and it was noticeable on his happy face. He couldn't help himself when he said hey to almost every person he passed and his happy mood rubbed off on then. Every time he turned around, he saw more and more happy faces. This brought a smile to the boy's face. He continued walking, sticking one hand in his pocket and wondering what he was going to do.

His feet carried him past the Dango shop, where the delicious smell of sweet dumplings wafted out into the open air. A slight noise floated up through the air to his ears. God, I didn't realize I was this hungry. The sound of his stomach growling followed him into the shop. His footsteps sounded muffled amongst all the other people and he walked slowly up to the counter, pushing by people as they made their way back out with their food. The cashier took his order and he payed the money, taking his box of sweet dumplings. He turned and started to walk out when another boy his age caught his eye. He sidled over slowly, smiling at the boy.

"Hey, how's it going? Nice day today, eh?"

Shadow continued his Dango stick throwing with one in his mouth and multiples, possibly 2 or 3, in his right hand until the sound of a happy tone crossed his eardrums, causing him to miss his lass shot by a few centimeters on the edge of the image that resembled his necklace. Once he noticed that his perfect precision was by a little off because of a simple distraction, Shadow sighed as he retracted the red Dango stick. Without looking at the boy, Shadow held that same neutral no smiling face that he was so known for while speaking in his equally usual monotone voice “I guess.” Shadow looked into his box to check how much Dango he had left. After doing some quick mental calculating he came up with around fourteen Dango in the box and a nearly completed “masterpiece” of the Harinezumi clan symbol. Not being the social type of person, another well known aspect about him, Shadow just continued to eat his Dango and throw the sticks on the wall in front of him, waiting for wither a response or footsteps signifying departure.

Sweet juices ran down the boy's chin as he dug into his Dango. All around Akaru and the other boy people milled about, making their way in and out of the little shop. The same delicious smell that drifted outside filled the little restuarant completely. Every where you looked, people were either eating their Dango or getting ready to buy some. Akaru stood and throw the red sticks into a trash can that stood a few feet away, not missing his mark once.

His attention rose to what the other boy way doing. From what he could see, the boy was making some sort of symbol. Akaru reached up and brushed his hair from his face and then reached over for a napkin. His hand moved slowly across his chin as he continued to watch what the boy was doing. A groan issued forth from his chest as he looked down at his box and saw that it was empty. The box went into the trash can soon afterwards and Akaru looked up at the boy once again.

"Your not much of a talker, are you? Tell me, whats that your making? I've never seen anything like that."

After the other boy spoke to him once again, Shadow ate the remaining Dango in the box and swiftly threw his last stick at the image on the wall, not missing his intended target by a millimeter. Shadow stretched his arms and held them behind his back. Unbeknownst to him, a lot of the villagers that were currently in the shop were gathering around in the back and whispering amongst themselves while closely examining the artwork made on the wall. To answer the boy’s question, Shadow held up his necklace that showed the exact same image on the pendant. "This is the symbol for the Harinezumi clan, my clan.”

Shadow leaned back a little as he took his hands from the backside of his head and place them in both his pockets. He examined the symbol made of red Dango sticks to make sure that none of them were misplaced and then sighed as he realized that he was eventually going to have to clean it up anyways before he could leave. He look a look at a mirror in front of him to see the villagers looking at the image and wondered for a second if he should have actually caused so much commotion with a simple Dango symbol, but just shrugged it off.
