Bittersweet [Elder Oracle] Empty
PostSubject: Bittersweet [Elder Oracle]   Bittersweet [Elder Oracle] EmptyMon Oct 05, 2009 6:54 pm

Gray. Raining.

She felt the drops of water on her flesh, in her hair, wetting her clothes. But today was one of those days, the days she visited her family, as those long strides brought her closer and closer to the cemetery, the place where all she had held dear rested. Dear. Love. Emotions that made her boil, that made her content and even, made her live. But now, what did the Uchiha have? Nothing. She was an empty shell, as she stood there, hair let loose, and her empty gaze starring at the names on the stone. So many familiar names.. the whole family was there, omitting those that lived through. Yuri had no clue of the murderer or anything of the sort, or why she even lived. The girl figured that she was the easiest target of all, being a barely graduated genin and alone in the forest. But to consider that it was exactly what saved her was idiotic. There had to be another motive. Something that she couldn't get a hold of. No human habits seemed to transfer at the moment, that lost, empty black gaze was lost in the tombstones that comprised the Uchiha plot.

There was a place beside her mother and father, and that's where her gaze was.
''I should be there.'' she muttered, still gazing at it, unaware of her surroundings. It could cost her life, but she stopped caring for it long ago. So what could she do now? Yuri, a pathetic, lost, and lonely Uchiha, starred at the place where her grave would be, when she died. The crackle of leaves, the dry snapping of twigs, steps on the walk.. nothing was loud enough to rouse her from that dark intent which she'd sunk in, the world still as gray as it was. And again, the words of earlier came unbidden, almost a mantra, that would come every five minutes...

''I should be there.''

Why does the rain always fall when you don't expect it? That question passed threw Takiras mind like a never ending whirlpool sometimes. She couldn't help it, even being the dark sinister girl that she was. She couldn't help the fact that she was sad, and on top of that it was raining. The dark clouds which hovered above the village was crying, leaking salty tears down upon the village. Even though the clouds were dark, they had silver linings and small speckles of sunlight ripped threw them. Creating rainbows that stretched throwout the village, Takira thought there was hope threw this dreadful day, a hope that would one day guide her to the right path. The rain was light, falling graciously down upon the village and shattering once it hit the ground. Each droplet made a sound unique to where it dropped, creating somewhat of a rhythm to those who listened to it. Light crackles of thunder boomed from the distance, maybe the storm will skip the village or maybe not. These were unpredictable times in Konoha, one could sense the change in the air. The village itself wasn't something interesting that day, everything seemed gloomy and frankly boring. The merchants and Ninja were off doing missions or at home. The only time when you saw a person was when they were closing their shops. Takira didn't pay them any attention, she had her mind on herself at the moment. Finally getting some free time out the house, she wanted to use that time to get herself situated.

With quick heavy steps Takira walked to the graveyard, making splashing noises with every step. "Splash...splash...splash..." Was all she heard when walking down that gloomy rocky path into Konohas graveyard. Her eyes kept looking straight forward as she walked, not even blinking to the slightest degree. Like black diamonds her eyes were cold and beautiful, holding so much knowledge and power within them, one found it hard not to notice. Her face, pale and perfect, showed no sign of emotion. As she walked she looked like a soulless being on the hunt for life, a life that will replace the emptiness she felt inside. The only love she had was that of her father, a great man who she will always remember. Luckily like some of the villagers, she had a good father who was there for her, and is still alive. She is grateful for his presence, because he taught her everything she knows. She wore a short black kimono, reaching down to her calves. The kimono was simple, all black with red stripes around the bottom. The Uchiha symbol was on its back, and she wore it with pride and honor. Her hair was out that day, letting it hang down to her shoulders in black curly locks. It looked like a waterfall of night, how it swayed with her in every step. She also carried a large black umbrella with her, just in case the rain decided to become hyper.

Why was she in a graveyard you might ask? Well, asking something that the person doesn't know themselves is rhetorical. Takira didn't know why she was out there, but something told her to go. Usually she would go on private walks around the village, it was a natural thing to her. But rarely does she ever go inside the graveyard. Takira has seen many people in such pain in there, losing someone isn't a easy thing to go threw. But in the ninja world pain was something that was natural, a birth right if you will. But now in the graveyard, she tried her hardest not to think about pain, even thought it seemed inevitable. After a few minutes of walking the image of a young girl became visible threw the rain drops. She stood in front of tombstones with a sorrowful aura around her, even people of the blind could tell that. At first Takira shook her off, trying not to pay her any mind, but inevitably she couldn't. Taking a closer look at the girl, a spark went off inside her head. "Cousin Yuri....?" She thought while stopping in her tracks.

Takira tilted her heard, and smirked. Its been a long time since she saw other relatives of the Uchiha clan in her presence, a long time indeed. She heard of Yuri from her father, although he himself didn't know much about her and her branch. Takiras family was more distant from the Uchiha core, so it wasn't odd that she doesn't know about the Uchiha families which resided in the village. Now a few yards from the girl, she decided to approach her. With a faint smile, she walked up to her quietly and quickly, almost like a phantom. Now beside her, Takira did a quick hand motion with her umbrella to make it so both of them were under it. "You can catch a cold you know, you should be careful silly." She said casually.

Steps. Those didn't matter, not to her. World was nothing, gray, colorless, lifeless. The girl was starring intently at the tombstone. All of those in the main compound, had been attacked. Most of them died and she was one of the survivors. However, most of the survivors drew strength away. The furthest families of Uchiha were spared. The unfairness seemed to hit Yuri more and more, but yet, she did nothing about it. Nothing was worth doing anymore, except play with her dolls.. because those she loved came alive in her dolls. That was the only reason, her passion. But her shinobi path was differant then what she wanted. The girl simply starred, the rain the only thing still connecting her to her unconcious world. Then it stopped. This jolted a spark of awareness in those forgotten eyes, the words leaving her lips. ''I should be there'' That was the last time it would, as she gazed at someone. Dark hair, pale face. Black eyes and a proud countenance. A Uchiha, like her, but she knew this one. She was famous for being so gifted and strong. ''Takira.'' the word escaped her lips, rememberance striking itself upon her. The other girl's words were lost nad yet not, as they echoed in her mind.

''You are not my mother.'' she said, but the voice, instead of cold and venemous like most would be, was dead. Emotionless and empty. The girl extended her hand tracing the name on the stone. And the girl turned her head, the full blast of those dead black eyes now revealed. Noting the fact that the other seemed unaware, Yuri simply said something to enlighten the far off branch. ''They were all killed.'' she said, and took a step back, subtracting herself from the umbrella's shield. ''Few lived.'' her words seemed to be fragments, as if she hadn't spoken in a long time. In short, that was truth, as her eyes burned into that stone, the death in them so wide and open. The abyss, in short, that the Uchiha's clan eyes were famed for. Yuri spoke no more, a doll in her hands, petting the head of the thing, as she stepped foreward, saving the doll from the rain. But it was not herself.. the doll was in fact, a representation of herself. The girl took another step and kneeled, touching the empty lot. Placing the doll there, she stood up, and looked at it.

The doll was her exact likeness, which was not only eery, but strangely frightening. And the girl bent over again, and took the doll, a sort of twisted look on her face. Agony and yet pride was there, which was not only odd, but also very horrifying.
'' I should be there.'' she muttered again, before turning to her cousin once more, the dirty doll in her hand. ''But I am not.'' she muttered, those eyes starring straight, and now Yuri stilled, malleable. She had done what she needed for the day, so the rest was without meaning.

Takira stood there alongside the girl, staring at the cold gray tombstones in front of her. Rain poured down upon them like tears, bringing sorrow and misery with every droplet. She watched as the water slid its way into the limping grass, drowning it in its eternal pouring. She was beginning to become lost with the girl, but her words brought her back to the dismal reality that she was in. "You are not my mother." Yuri said in a emotionless voice that seemed to fade itself as soon as it slithered from her mouth. Takira didn't respond, normally she would say something smart and disrespectful to such a reply, but she felt sorry for the girl. She didn't know why, even though shes a clan member Takira wouldn't give her special treatment if on a battlefield. But maybe it was because she was more miserable then her, so it seems.

"They were all killed." Yuri said while moving away from Takira's umbrella. As she watched her move Takira slowly brought the umbrella more over to her side, further more shielding herself from the rain. She continued to hear the girls broken words, coming out of her mouth like a whisper from a spirit. At this point she knew that the girl was talking about her parents. Takira thought about her family, he father, brother and mother. A large wave of emotion crept over her corpse like exterior, bring flush red color to her face. If Takira would have lost them she wouldn't know what she would do, she would be alone and in pain. She felt sad for Yuri at that moment. Yuri stepped closer to the empty lot in front of them, and gently placed a doll in front of the tombstone. The doll resembled Yuri greatly, and Takira stood there and watched her in wonderment.

''I should be there. But I'm not." She said while turnning to Takira. Takira smirked, a sinister smile with a hint of generosity in its dark formula. "So your parents died, it must be painful." Takira said with a pause. Her eyes drifted to the ground, and back to Yuri in a slow motion. "Where are you staying now, are you alone?" Takira asked her with a curious look on her face. She heard footsteps in the forest around the graveyard, but paid little mind to them at that moment. For now she was focused on Yuri, and her alone.

The other girl didn't move, or react. That was the best of issues, particularly in Yuri's frame of mind. But Yuri, even in her emotion zapped state, still held that child like instinct of feelings. That smirk was differant then before, and that was marked into her mind, as her eyes caught it. The girl's words were nothing. Parents, were not only a painful lost, but his lost was the most painful. But pain had been buried deep, as that cold, apathetic stance now ruled her life. The girl's eyes starred at the other, even as the cocking of her head to the side was almost.. human. ''Of course. No one would take in a pathetic, lucky Uchiha such as myself.'' Fact of the matter, she had never asked. Nor did she admit that, because such a thought crossed not her mind. She was simply watching the other girl now, no curiosity, a semi-limpness in her. She was malleable. so if the other girl grabbed her, and dragged her, Yuri would not protest. There was nothing alive still, but now a strange feeling swirled. What was this? It was easily crushed out.. but it was still worth noting.
