PostSubject: Honorable Sacrifice: Ayumu Peinto (open to all)   Wed Sep 02, 2009 4:35 pm

OOC Information: This topic is an open funeral for Ayumu Peinto (Todds former character) for all Konoha shinobi. But I'd prefer it if everybody would only post once, a big post. Nobody needs to make speeches besides me and Robin and we should be the only people to post twice. Post in your perspective, to mine and Robin's posts. Please don't be unique and destroy anything I posted like the minute of silence, show some respect for the dead. If you are already in a topic, aslong as your in the village, so whether your in a spar, the chuunin exams, a mission inside the village, you can still post, since it will only be the one post. Everybody is free to post after Robin has posted.

Honorable Sacrifice: Ayumu Peinto

Of course on one of the year’s biggest days of sorrow and grief, would it be fitting to rain. Pouring gently from the heavens, came the light, yet heavy rain.

Today, all the citizens and shinobi had ignored the nasty weather, just give their condolences to Ayumu Peinto, the deceased ANBU member of the leaf village. Orito had been working with this extremely young up-comer for a few years now. What a fantastic and skilled ninja he had become. Now, Ayumu would join a rank higher than Hokage. The deceased hero’s of Konoha.

Up nice and early, just like always, Orito had to arrive at the graveyard for the funeral, before the rest of the people attending the ceremony, because things needed to be prepared. Orito dressed himself in his Hokage attire, his hat working as it’s own umbrella, but it was still better for him to remain under an umbrella. A sudden knock on the door drew his attention, opening it, there stood two chuunin guards, reading to escort their Hokage to the funeral. Each of them holding two over-sized umbrella’s to usher Orito through the conditions.

Orito smiled softly, closing the door as the three began walking through the streets, nearing their destination, before finally reaching the graveyard. The area was almost set up already. A tarp covered zone around the majority of the burial area that Ayumu would be buried, so that people wouldn’t get saturated by the rain. The over night group of citizens really worked hard to unsure that everybody could attend to this legendary shinobi’s memorial service.

~One Hour Later~

The time went by and the rain continued, guests began to arrive and after a mere fifteen minutes, the graveyard was full of citizens and shinobi, ready to celebrate the life and sacrifice of this great young man.

Orito walked over to the podium, standing next to a monk from the Temple of Fire, who traveled to the Leaf Village just for this event. At the end of this ceremony, the monk would make a speech for Ayumu’s spirit, as he was lowered into his burial ground. But before that, Orito had to make a speech, commemorating Ayumu Peinto. Standing to Orito’s right, was Robin Kaguya, Ayumu’s ANBU partner and the leader of the black ops squads. Robin was there when Ayumu died, so it was extremely import he made a speech.

As everybody started to quiet down, Orito cleared his throat deeply into the microphone.

“Fellow citizens and shinobi of Konoha. We are gathered here today, to celebrate, honor and remember one of our greatest young hero’s ever to come from not only our village, but our country. Over time, many noble sacrifices have been made to keep our village safe from dangerous enemies and devastating forces. Just over a week ago, Ayumu Peinto, one of Konoha’s young and most skilled ANBU members, died at age seventeen. Ayumu was one of the unique young fighters I had ever met, and surely managed to progress quickly, making co-leader of the black op’s squad by the age of sixteen. Reaching what some of you would call the top, elite of the elite. Orito paused in his speech, taking a deep breath before continuing.

“This hero, died, to ensure we could all continue to live peacefully and with help from his partner, he managed to kill the one of the most dangerous figures ever too oppose Konoha. Unfortunately, this man, managed to get the best of Ayumu and eventually defeat him, bringing him to an early death. But his sacrifice was one that will never be forgotten and therefore I hope you all can join me in a one minute’s silence, not only to honor Ayumu, but all who have had made the ultimate sacrifice to protect us and make sure we can live in peace” Orito closed his eyes, behind his sunglasses, dropping his head as the silence began.

Orito began thinking of all the people who had died for Konoha. Ayumu and Yuto were the first two to come to his head. Followed by Kadaj, a young genin who died protecting Yuto, unfortunately his sacrifice was useless, for the great former hokage was now dead. So much wasted life, but like Orito had just spoken about, noble sacrifices are often needed to ensure over all safety. Orito would die in a heartbeat, to ensure full safety of the Leaf Village.

As the minute finished Orito raised his head, looking up, happy that everybody else showed enough respect to join him in the silent minute to remember all those noble shinobi.

“Thank you for showing such respect for this great young man” Orito said, stepping down from the platform and standing next to it, where his chuunin guards kept him sheltered from the rain at all times.

It was time for Robin to make a speech.

PostSubject: Re: Honorable Sacrifice: Ayumu Peinto (open to all)   Wed Sep 02, 2009 7:03 pm

The rain pattered around him, each droplet of water smashing into the tiling of the apartment building he crouched atop of. It was 3 in the morning and he hadn't slept in over 5 days, something somewhat inhuman to many. But there had been way too much happening in that time for him to be able to sleep let along lay down on a bed. He had constantly been on the move, with coming back from a mission; to departing on a more serious mission then returning on the same one. Every mission he had been on, he had returned successful and with everyone that left; except for his most recent one for which the mission was successful, but he had returned alone, without his partner. That was his reason tonight for why he could not sleep, he had lost someone on a mission that was dear to him. He had lost someone who was the only person who he could confess anything to and trust the person. He had lost the other half of the ANBU leadership in just one second. He had lost...a true friend.

The rain made a soft tempo on the tiling and with the brief moments of consciousness, he felt as if he was hearing soft and depressing music. Each time he heard that soft music he would remember the final moments of his partner's life, he would remember the pain that he felt as he could not do a single thing to help his partner, he would remember...Near's expression as he had killed Ayumu and then finally, his expression as he was killed. Robin was the one to have killed the man who took his partner's life, but he would make it seem as if Todd was the one to take the Akatsuki Leader's life. Whilst thinking this, he was currently in his subconscious state and was just sitting on the rooftop. *twang* Robin snapped back into consciousness and looked around at the pitch black surroundings with the exceptions of a few dim lights and one very bright pure white light, emitted from the ring he had on his finger. The ring was given to him by the Akatsuki Leader himself, after he had killed Ayumu and after Robin had killed him. With all the adrenaline that rushed through him at that time, he still had the decency to accept gifts from the one who destroyed his best friend. But for the better, as it was the one true weakness to the akatsuki; and the only object for which he would remember Ayumu by.

The ring was beautiful, pure white with slight engravings and it closely reflected Robin as a person. He belonged to the Kaguya clan which was well renown for pure white bones and which the colour matched closely with the ring. But that wasn't important, as he slipped back into his subconscious state and just sat there, looking memorised of the ring before him. Nothing else seemed important to him any more but the ring before him. He had been sitting in the same position for over 6hours and had rain water in every possible area of his body. He was saturated and there was a bitter chill around, for which he ignored easily. He was in pain both physically and emotionally, but he would sit there until the beginning of the funeral, for which he was watching clearly from the rooftop of his own apartment. The rain was pattering around him and the area was pitch black, but he would sit there for the next 5hours to come.

5hours later.

The rain dripped from the edge of his fringe. He had his head bowed and was approaching the one minute mark for which there had been silence. However, he hadn't talked in over 15 hours and was not exactly dying to begin, but he knew he had to. In the next 10 seconds, he would have to begin speaking. The time was up, the Hokage spoke then stepped back off the platform. Instantly, every pair of eyes was turned on him and all had mixed emotions. He stepped forward, taking the podium and addressing everyone around. Every person in the area wore black, as did he; but a tailored black version of his ANBU uniform. He looked down at the ground before looking back ahead and then opening his mouth to speak. Ayumu Peinto was my co-ANBU leader, a fellow konoha shinobi but furthermore, my best friend. I stuck by him until his last moments, fighting the former Akatsuki Leader and Ayumu destroying him; however to a cost. Ayumu also fell in the battle and i would give anything to trade places of our fates. I cannot describe what I saw, nor what I felt as I watched him fall prey to the unavoidable fate. Robin looked around and decided to speak with true honesty, As you know I am the leader of the ANBU and I am not the leader because of public speaking. So I apologise for being so short with my speech, but he was truly the closest thing I had to my real brother, Robin instantly bit down on his tongue so as to regret what he had just said. He decided to cover it up by continuing, He truly was the closest thing I had. And all I can say is that I know he is at peace and i know that he is looking down, on all of us. So as Ayumu said in his final moments; Long...Live...Konoha.

Robin brought his hand up to his forehead in a respectable salute before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. Instantly he appeared, sitting on the same roof where he had sat for the whole of the night. He had an aerial view of the funeral and was just happy to watch whilst feeling relieved that he didnt need to speak. Now all that needed to be done, was watch what others would do; nothing stupid he had hoped, or he would intervene.

Now it was up to the Konoha Shinobi; The ninjas of pure heart!

PostSubject: Re: Honorable Sacrifice: Ayumu Peinto (open to all)   Wed Sep 02, 2009 10:27 pm

Two hundred yards away a figure stood near a group of academy students who were huddled under the canopy of a large tree trying to stave off the worst of the weather’s effects. He seemed not to care about the driving rain and made no attempt to seek the refuge of the nearby tree. He had other things on his mind then rain.

The person in question was wearing the uniform of a Konoha Nin over-laid with a black ankle coat that seemed to fly in the wind with a mind of its own. His porcelain features taking in the scene in front of him gave no hint to the inner turmoil he was suffering. Only his eyes, the eyes of a jaded prodigy revealed the emotional conflict that lay within.

Jiro, a man who had faced death and had mastered it turning it against the enemies of his dark God, was for the first time in his life unnerved. Jiro had never been to a funeral before, sure he had buried the corpses of his enemies and victims but this was … different. Somehow this mattered in a way none of the others had. Why could he not take his eyes off the casket? Why was his hand shaking uncontrollably? So used to suppressing his feelings he didn’t recognise the ones that were trying to bubble up inside him. He tried to tell himself Todd was just another Shinobi, an Anbu operative who died in the course of duty. Shinobi died all the time, it was an expected risk of service. Just because they had been on the same team should make no difference. He was a colleague, an acquaintance whom he just so happened to see a lot of. His skills were noteworthy but he was overwise not unlike any other. At least that’s what he tried to tell himself, so why in Jashin name did he not believe it for second. Why did his stomach churn and why did he feel so guilty? Guilty for not being able to face the truth, guilty for not being their when they needed him.

He remembered the first time he had met Ayumu, how the young Nin had welcomed him on the team with enthusiasm while the others looked in with that legendary Anbu reserve. It was Ayumu who would invite him to come out of a Friday night and Ayumu who spent his own free time teaching him Anbu sign language. Most of all he remembered how Ayumu reacted when word spread of his psyche report, he didn’t bat an eyelid. Only now did he realise how much his trust had meant. Jiro realised he hadn’t lost a teammate and a instructor, he had lost a friend, one of the few he truly had and it hurt far more then he had thought possible. For years he had convinced himself friends were pointless and tried to distance him self but now he realise it was something you could not stop. Such emotional control had never been his in the first place. Then other thoughts crept in about other friends he tried to suppress, emotions he thought had died in him. What if it had been Robin who was killed? Or the Hokage? Or Kimiko? Mental barriers buckled within the emotional mess that was Konoha’s youngest Anbu operative. Years of suppressed feelings washed through him and he found himself raising his head to the sky and for the first time since his pledge of devotion to Jashin did he let his emotions run free and let the rain stream down his face

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two minutes later he felt a tug on his right sleeve and found a 4th year Academy student looking up at him. He noticed she had strayed from the group who were currently fixated on Robin in the centre. She looked at him in an expression he had some times seen Kimiko use when he was injured, she look concerned:

Did he mean a lot to you?” she asked

“Yes, why do you ask?”

“It’s okay to let it out”

That’s when he noticed that not all the droplets on his face were cold. He could even taste the salt. It took a moment to realise he was crying. He hadn’t cried in over a decade that he had forgotten what it felt like. It always though that crying was a sign of weakness but it did not feel weak, some how it felt right.

“It’s just rain” he replied. The girl did not seem particularly convince but a wink and a smile from Jiro had her heading happily back to the group. As the girl joined he friends he said under his breath “After all Anbu don’t cry”

The day before -

Renjiro and the members of the Senju clan had arrived the night before to sort out the area and preparations. Renjiro was there helping as much as he could. He helped arrange the trees and chairs and he also helped dressing the area. The clan elders helped Renjiro put a piano up near the podium and slightly away from the coffin and hole. It was a full sized strnged piano for after the important people had spoken.

The day itself -

Renjiro and the clan members had arrived 3 hours before in a drove of hundreds. All wearing custom made Senju robes; they were the same length and design but instead of earth colours it was blacks, white and greys. The forming Konoha clan had grown into one of the largest clan within the village once again. The clan took their position at the front of the crowd showing their position within the village. Renjiro was sit at the piano waiting for the right time to play.

The Hokage arrived directly on time and then some time later more people arrived. The Hokage gave his speach and there was a minute silence. As soon as the silence began Renjiro started playing Grief and sorrow on the full sized piano. The rain didnt effect Renjiro or his playing, he played it perfectly with no flaws or problems. The piano solo song went over the minute silence and continued for an extra 2 minutes as to show the villages respect and grief to him.

After the song had finished he stood up looked at the coffin and placed a pure wooden rose on the casket as a mark of respect from the Senju clan. After that he walked back to the clan and remained with them until the end of the service. He remained upright and posied with the sight of respect and sympothy in his eyes.

Izumo woke up at the expected time and crawled out of bed, in silence the whole time as he got dressed and ate breakfast. Today was a sad day for Konoha, the death of a hero gathered all the villagers into one location for a funeral to celebrate the great sacrifice that Ayumu Peinto made.

Dressed in his regular Leaf gear, Izumo walked out the door, before speeding down the streets to the graveyard. Once reaching his location, Izumo made it at the same time as a big swamp of civilians and shinobi, walking in with a group.

The young leader of the Tatake clan took a seat in the fourth row. The seats got full and everybody had looks of sorrow and despair on their faces. Izumo knew that this was a true dose of reality for all the shinobi. Even the highest and skilled shinobi, can die in an instant, changing the future of the whole village. What if it was the hokage that died, the village would be opened for an attack, for nobody in the Leaf Village was as strong as Orito Aburame, Hokage of Konoha.

The Hokage began to make a caring speech about Ayumu and then asked everybody joined him in a minute of silence.

After the minute was over another anbu member named Robin Kaguya, made a speech. Apparently Robin was Ayumu’s anbu parter. It must have been tough for him. Izumo continued to sit there in respect and listen to all the wonderful things the higher ranked shinobi spoke about Ayumu, it was very touching. Izumo sat there quietly the whole time until the funeral finished.

Shibito had been notified that the village was holding a funeral for a fallen Anbu called Ayumu Peinto. Shibito had had trouble sorting his body out after he had escaped the forest of deaths fire from his fight a few weeks back. He had burns on his body, he had not bothered to sort himself out so he covered the bad parts, the back and arms, for now in bandages. He got himself dressed all in black, out of respect, and headed out to the funeral.

He arrived at the funeral half an hour later and stood near the back, this had been the first time he had left his home in over a week, he had been building puppets and thinking about the life ninja lead, death surrounds them, they are meant to be tools but they are missed when they die. He then listened to the Hokage talk about the young Anbu, it was moving to hear such respect being shown for someone. Then a minutes silence was made and all went silent, he started to think about the life of ninja some more 'This young Anbu, only a few years older than me, has passed on and has made such an impact on Konoha, the life of a ninja is a dangerous one where death is always close. I would have thought he would have been thrown in his grave and left to rest in peace like most people were but this guy was something else, he saved the village from an apparently great evil and as such he has been given a true heroes send off, which proves that not all is wrong with the world.' He then thought about Zatheria Hyuuga and wondered what had gone wrong, he had probably fought too hard but he had thought that that was what the genin had wished for, he seemed to want to die. The silence ended and the Hokage thanked everyone. Then the Anbu leader stepped up and made a short speech about how he had stood by Ayumu and faced the Akatsuki leader and he finished the speech with 'Long live Konoha.'
He had thought about that last comment and wondered if Konoha would live long, the world was constantly changing and Konoha may not be able to keep up.

Shibito decided to head off as early as it was polite to. He had had enough of the funeral, they made him feel bad. He hated this presence of death that had recently covered the village. He headed home and thought to himself 'I've got to get out of here, I don't want to be surrounded by death any more.' He headed off home, with a new view of things and the leaf village.

PostSubject: Re: Honorable Sacrifice: Ayumu Peinto (open to all)   Sat Sep 05, 2009 12:08 am

Seiko awoke in a cold sweat to the radiant ringing of his alarm clock. His restless sleep the night before had been flooded with bloody nightmares, filled to the brim with the death of his comrades. Seiko sat up in his bed, and scratched his head, before stretching. His elbow popped loudly as he extended his right arm. Seiko stood up from his bed and walked without thinking, to the bathroom. He opened the door and turned on the shower. Removing his sweaty clothing from the night before, he stepped into the shower, and began cleaning himself. When finished, he stepped out of the shower, and held out his hands. Wind flew from them and swept over his body, drying him out in just a few seconds. He stepped out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. He went through his drawers till he found his plain black suit. It wasn't very ornate, and was covered in a layer of dust. He flexed his hand again and the dust vanished. Seiko put the suit on, making sure it was done right. He was in all black now. And ready for a funeral. He sighed, and walked out the door, for what would surely be a dramatic and heart-filled day.

As He stepped out onto the streets of konoha, he couldn't help but notice everything looked more gloomy. Dark storm clouds filled the normally sunny and vacant sky. And from the heavens, the angels of departed souls cried. The too, mourned the loss of one of konoha's beloved ninja. Seiko took a deep breath, and walked forward. The streets were desserted. everyone had gone to the funeral. Seiko himself was headed there now. He continued to trudge along, the rain seeming to stop before it him. It was as if an invisible umbrella was above his head, sheltering him from the tears.

After walking for several long minutes, he arrived at the Graveyard, just in time to Hear his hokage's speech. “Fellow citizens and shinobi of Konoha.
We are gathered here today, to celebrate, honor and remember one of our
greatest young hero’s ever to come from not only our village, but our
country. Over time, many noble sacrifices have been made to keep our
village safe from dangerous enemies and devastating forces. Just over a

fighters I had ever met, and surely managed to progress quickly, making
co-leader of the black op’s squad by the age of sixteen. Reaching what
some of you would call the top, elite of the elite.
Orito paused in his speech, taking a deep breath before continuing.

“This
hero, died, to ensure we could all continue to live peacefully and with
help from his partner, he managed to kill the one of the most dangerous
figures ever too oppose Konoha. Unfortunately, this man, managed to get
the best of Ayumu and eventually defeat him, bringing him to an early
death. But his sacrifice was one that will never be forgotten and
therefore I hope you all can join me in a one minute’s silence, not
only to honor Ayumu, but all who have had made the ultimate sacrifice
to protect us and make sure we can live in peace”
Orito closed his eyes, behind his sunglasses, dropping his head as the silence began.

Seiko too dropped his head for the silence. During the span of one minute, Seiko prayed. To whom, he wasn't sure. But he prayed. That Ayumu's spirit may live on, and that he may attain immortality in the fact that he would not be forgotten. Seiko's head was bowed, and a single tear went down his face. Suddenly, Ayumu's partner, Robin, was speaking.

Ayumu
Peinto was my co-ANBU leader, a fellow konoha shinobi but furthermore,
my best friend. I stuck by him until his last moments, fighting the
former Akatsuki Leader and Ayumu destroying him; however to a cost.
Ayumu also fell in the battle and i would give anything to trade places
of our fates. I cannot describe what I saw, nor what I felt as I
watched him fall prey to the unavoidable fate.
As
you know I am the leader of the ANBU and I am not the leader because of
public speaking. So I apologise for being so short with my speech, but
he was truly the closest thing I had to my real brother,
He
truly was the closest thing I had. And all I can say is that I know he
is at peace and i know that he is looking down, on all of us. So as
Ayumu said in his final moments; Long...Live...Konoha.

Seiko was touched by this speech as well, especially by that last part. Seiko decided that there was something in his power that he could do. Something he could do to give Ayumu a vibrant send off. Seiko walked to the middle of the crowd, and made several handseals. On the final, he raised both hands to the sky. From his left hand, fire spiraled up, elegant and beautiful. From his left, a spiral of wind. When they met, Seiko concentrated, and they took the form of a leaf. The beautiful symbol that all konoha ninja bore on their headbands. It burned brightly in the sky for several minutes. Seiko adjusted the chakra flow a little, and the fire turned from red to orange. From there, it turned yellow, then slowly green. Finally it went from green, to blue, to purple, where it grew in size, before dissipating. Seiko smiled, and made a handseal. He dissapeared in a puff of smoke.

Kenshiki stood about ten feet from everyone else staring at the grave stone, lost in his own thoughts. He was standing just outside the area protected from rain, though he didn't care. He prefered to be in the rain then crowded spot. despite being so far back he could still see and hear what was going on. He thought about getting a closer view or talking to peop[le, but went against the idea. Although he was a jounin, he was a loner and he really didn't know the person very well, so he had nothing particular to say so why waste words.

Kenshiki looked in the corner of his eye and saw some people staring at him, but he ignored them and continued to listen. after the first few hours Kenshiki wispered a pray and left, he had work to do, "Life mustn't stop because of death." Kenshiki said two himself, and turned to go.

PostSubject: Re: Honorable Sacrifice: Ayumu Peinto (open to all)   Sat Sep 05, 2009 11:18 am

The room was near silent, the only sound being the pitter patter of rain outside. Everything seemed motionless at first, not even a bug crept through the small box-like room, until the slightest of movement showed at least a single sign of life. The young jounin known only as Pendo awoke by his own hand, as he always did. He tended to wake himself up at the perfect time, because as he looked at his soundless clock he realized what time it was. Yes, time for the beginning of a very dreary day, as well as a funeral. He pulled his legs over the side of the bed and sat up to prop his head on his arms. As his hands met his face, he relaxed his neck and thought about life, death, and how the two met in battle so many times in the ninja world. Death would often fight off life and claim it's victim, but sometimes when life cared about a certain individual, it would fight even harder to save it from death, but even so - death had it's own feelings as well about who it wished to claim.

It was a fairly good analogy, Pendo thought it was anyway. It fit well, and he knew that the day that Ayumu had died, there must've been a tremendous clash between the two forces of life and death. Both wanting to save or claim a common victim. Pendo was sure that death was reluctant to take Ayumu's opponent, but even something as dark and sinister as death lived by a set of rules that it must follow. The rain began to grow much louder as the sound thickened into a thumping on his roof. He would be required to attend the funeral, not that he would've attended it anyway, but he had inquired the idea of everyone being punctual and he would not be the one to displace his own ideas. He wasn't tired though, he never was despite the fact that he attained only four hours of sleep at a time. He did this to save time and to be ready if anything new comes up.

He retained his hands to their placements within his pockets before moving to his closet. He pulled the two panels of wood aside to reveal an encampment of clothes of his own choosing. Different kinds were there: suits, heavy training gear, light training gear, armor, robes, all kinds of clothing. He slowly pulled out a black suit hung on a single hanger, and glanced over it before nodding to himself. It was a very nice and formal attire that would slightly fit in, being black, but also stand out from the usual visual of gray. Pendo closed his closet once more before laying the silk suit on his bed. He then proceeded to remove his current clothes that were of casual sleeping attire, before slipping on his pants, shirt, and then suit jacket. When he was completely set he moved to the kitchen to get a bowl of cereal to eat, careful not to spill a single drop on his new silk suit.

After finishing his breakfast he placed the bowl and spoon in the sink, noting to wash the dishes when he returned from this important event. He sighed, looking out his window into the wet darkness beyond the paned glass window. His eye wandered back to his hand which had began to shake, clenching to the counter as if for dear life. Another important life lost in Konoha...Someone who had killed one to save a thousand. Pendo felt a large pang of guilt that he hadn't been there to help, he could've done something, something to have stopped the tragedy that sat in the corner of everyone's mind, that was even unnoticed in the minds of some. How could he just sit here in his nice suit, with his nice cereal, and yet not feel the pain that the young ANBU leader had felt?

Pendo's mind whirled as it processed it all, he had always thought that Konoha wasn't at war when they were, at war with missing ninja...with Akatsuki. Both were a grand and monstrous threat to the currently sorrowful village. Remorse and sadness lingered around him, as if it were the very oxygen he was breathing in. Every second, he realized, was just as important as the one before it. Pendo once again let out a sigh, as he released his now whitening grip on the counter. He turned to face the western wall of the kitchen before walking out the side door that led into the alley way. It was a good exit because it led out into a clear path, where there were no villagers or anyone else in the way. The rain felt gently down, taking the risk of getting close to the master of water, but seemed to bounce off of thin air as it came within a centimeter of him. He was repelling the water from his suit so that it would not get soaked.

He walked down the cement-paved area with a perfect execution of steps that showed his skill and swiftness with each strident step. Any on-lookers would never even think about coming too close at first glance, but he also had a hint of humbleness to his look, his face was only slightly stern but also kind and comforting. Pendo enjoyed the rain though, and if he weren't wearing such an ancient family heirloom he would've let it fall freely upon his skin, and even drench his clothes. Soon, within only seconds, the large-scale funeral came into view. Although only one person had died, nearly the entire village had taken time from their daily tasks to accompany each other in this dark hour. The young jounin silently took a seat in the front row to listen to the wise words of the Hokage.

"Fellow citizens and shinobi of Konoha. Reaching what some of you would call the top, elite of the elite." Orito spoke confidently, and his sorrow could be clearly felt by many in the audience of the funeral. Pendo himself felt the coldness that lingered in the air, the coldness of death.

The Hokage was only silent for a brief moment before once again speaking. "This hero, died, to ensure we could all continue to live peacefully and with help from his partner, he managed to kill the one of the most dangerous figures ever too oppose Konoha. Unfortunately, this man, managed to get the best of Ayumu and eventually defeat him, bringing him to an early death. But his sacrifice was one that will never be forgotten and therefore I hope you all can join me in a one minute’s silence, not only to honor Ayumu, but all who have had made the ultimate sacrifice to protect us and make sure we can live in peace" those were the final words spoken before a long silence shrouded the area. Everyone, including Pendo, dipped their heads in silence. His eyes were closed for the seemingly-eternal moment before they once again peeled open at the sound of a new voice.

A few tears escaped Pendo's eyes, streaming gently down his cheeks as Ayumu's partner began yet another speech. "Ayumu Peinto was my co-ANBU leader, a fellow konoha shinobi but furthermore, my best friend. I stuck by him until his ast moments, fighting the former Akatsuki Leader and Ayumu destroying him; however to a cost. Ayumu also fell in the battle and i would give anything to trade places of our fates. I cannot describe what I saw, nor what I felt as I watched him fall prey to the unavoidable fate. As you know I am the leader of the ANBU and I am not the leader because of public speaking. So I apologise for being so short with my speech, but he was truly the closest thing I had to my real brother, He truly was the closest thing I had. And all I can say is that I know he is at peace and i know that he is looking down, on all of us. So as Ayumu said in his final moments; Long...Live...Konoha." Pendo listened intently, his mind and thoughts tending to every word as if he were on a remote island, and the words were his only sources of food.

He continued to sit in silence as the speeches ended. Nothing else mattered to the Konoha shinobi at the moment. He was only focused on the hopes that the young ANBU leader had made safe-passage to a happy eternity in the spirit world. Even after everyone had left, and Pendo was left alone in the dim area, he sat there in silence. Ignoring everything else that went on, but simply focusing on one thing. That one hope alone combined with the hundreds of others that sat in the hearts of the villagers of Konoha would swade destiny into allowing the ninja safe-passage, and hopefully it worked like that. With one last glance at the black coffin, Pendo slowly left the area as the coffin would now be buried since the funeral was officially over. Although there was a death in Konoha, the great village would continue to live as mighty and strong as it always had for decades prior to today...

600 second went by for which Robin sat atop of the tall apartment block. The water had long been absorbed into ever aspect of his male figure and it felt extremely refreshing, despite the chill that came with the high altitude. 10 minutes, 600 seconds, 1/6th of an hour; no matter which way you look at it, the time had went by extremely slowly for which he stared at the ANBU crested coffin. Memories, images, thoughts and emotions flashed through his cerebellum within that time. The tiles creaked as his body lifted off the roof, however, none of them slipped from their position because of the perfect craftsmanship of the Konoha Labourers. He sprinted off the edge of the rooftop and dove over the guttering, free falling for 15stories and landing in a nearby trees only 3 meters from the casket. He landed softly and perfectly within the canopy of the tree and then proceeded to slide down it's thick trunk. He landed yet again and walked through the crowd of crying people. He himself was not crying for he had cried since the death of his partner and the whole of last night; the tears had simply dried out as he guessed. He pushed his way out to the front of the crowd and knelt before the cask, eyeing the centre of the ANBU insignia. With great reluctance, Robin reached inside the black ANBU cloak he wore and pulled out an ANBU mask, the one formerly worn by the young ANBU operative.

He placed it's porcelain figure on the top of the cask and looked at it's pure white and polished figure. The boy wore this same mask until he met his end; something for which not none of us can account for. Ayumu Peinto was in essence and being, that of the pure konohanian and that of a true warrior. He died to assure that we could all live safely and soundly, he destroyed the strongest enemy that Konoha has ever had and in the process, crippled the Akatsuki. Before too long, Robin had discovered that he had been talking aloud and everyone in the vicinity had complete attention on him. He decided to finally present his gift to the dead warrior and that was with something unique, something only he could give yet something that showed major respect. Robin held his palm out upwards and proceeded to emit a large amount of chakra into it. A bright white glow emerged from his palm and bones began twisting and convulsing in a delicate fashion from his palm. They twirled in perfect unison and within seconds, had create an amazing bone white rose. He took the rose and placed it on the casket amongst all the others. With a jerk of his neck, he looked up at the monk and nodded his head to proceed with the final readings.

''..So he may live forever peaceful in the eternal afterlife.'' The monk finished after the three minutes long speech and walked off the podium. Robin nodded towards Lord Hokage as a great sign of respect but to subtly tell him that the ceremony was over. He took the head rope of the lowering of the casket and in an extremely slow manner, proceeded to lower the casket 6feet under. When the body was safely lowered on the wooden planks below, the top of it was cemented over with a thick slab and then encrusted with a specialist seal from one of the specialist Jounin. The body was now laid at rest and the funeral was over. People began to pour out of the graveyard and return back to where they came from. The day was still very early, however with the rain and the funeral; he doubt any of the citizens would work today. But that was every citizen, Shinobi were different. Shinobis never stopped working and today was no different.

Over and Out.
