New Mandatory Requirement

All Members please read the following

Starting today all members are expected to put a link in there sig (it does not matter where within it as long as it is there and noticable) to their current character app. This is primarily for the benefit of staff to save time when updating your app but will also allow quick access to others seeking to read your finely written character profiles.

To do this all you need do is find your current character app and copy the web address (for the following example I am using my own character app):

https://ultimateshinobi.rpg-board.net/anbu-f75/jiro-anbu-update-t912.htm

You then press the link button (looks like a chain link and says link if you holder your pointer over it) and two spaces will be shown. Paste the web address into the top and you characters name into the bottom like so:

Webpage --->https://ultimateshinobi.rpg-board.net/anbu-f75/jiro-anbu-update-t912.htm
Character Name --->Jiro, The Disciple of Jashin

The link will look something like this:

Jiro, The Disciple of Jashin

You will find that the option to create such a link is not very easy to do in the sig box itself. This is easily got around by creating the link elsewhere then copying (when copying please remember you must copy the coded link, not as it appears to read) and pasting it into your sig. For the finished article see my own signature

If you dont already have a signature before or have never use one you will need to select the option always attach signature in your preferences

You have two weeks from today to make the necessary changes. A failure to do this will lead to you character being changed to the soon to created Lazy Douches faction. Two weeks should be plenty of time in all honesty to do something that only takes two minutes.

So all I have to do is what you just did and put it in your signature.

Easy enough.

A Douches Guide: How to link your character to your siggy

To do this you must first find your current character app which will be located in the relevant
approved character section which can be found at the top of character creation.

When you have found it, copy the web address. For those ignorant of what this it’s the bar at top of your browser sporting the sites address. It should look something like this (for the following example I am using my own character app):

https://ultimateshinobi.rpg-board.net/anbu-f75/jiro-anbu-update-t912.htm

Then go into any post to post as you would but rather then type anything click you mouse cursor over the link button. This looks like a chain link and says link if you holder your cursor over it. On doing this two spaces will be shown, one above another, paste the web address into the top space and you characters name into the bottom like so:

Webpage --->https://ultimateshinobi.rpg-board.net/anbu-f75/jiro-anbu-update-t912.htm
Character Name --->Jiro, The Disciple of Jashin

Click the button below and a lone of code akin to the following should appear in the text box:

Jiro, The Disciple of Jashin

Copy this then go to your signature and paste it in the text box. There we go, one app link added. Was not all that hard, was it?

Here, it is. And the renaming link thing did not work for me. 10 minutes wasted... that and, I didn't know this was a rule until my color was changed. Is there a way to make news appear, y'know, ON the front page? That way I don't have to have a rude awakening.
